After discharge as Accountant for 8001st TC December, 1953 I was hired as a DAC in Yokohama, Japan running the printing department for JPA. I left there to go to 8th Army HQ in charge of classified printing. I left there to go to the Sig Corps in charge of accounting for confiscated Telephone networks and negotiated in Japanese, their return to the Govt. I went to Inchon, Korea as Port Supply Off.

Wounded first day out by booby trap while attempting to lay wire communications to those under attack.

I was assigned to the 8001st TC Depot at the Port of Yokohama, Japan in charge of the Accounting for costs per engine for repair and depot maintenance of diesel marine engines (primarily PT boat) used by the US military in spy boats

North Korea
I was assigned to replace the Wire Chief in the Second Division, 38th Regiment, Charlie company. The next day we went out to replace a severed telephone line to the front lines and I was wounded by a booby trap. I was sent to the Jutlandia (Danish hospital ship) in Pusan harbor for surgery and later reassigned to Japan.
