Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. for letting us know that Soldiers will now receive up to 12 weeks of maternity leave after giving birth and new mothers are still non-deployable for up to six months. I find it interesting that new fathers are allowed a non-chargeable administrative absence of no more than 10 days. This allows new mothers to bond with their infants for 12 weeks which is wonderful; but, no mare than 10 days for new fathers.

It's a biased and a gender discriminating policy. 10 days only for fathers as if they are never important?? Its ridiculous and laughable!
