Sgt Tom Cunnally great post, this statement says it all: He spent 2 ½ years in hospital and had over 40 surgeries. On June 19, 2014, Corporal Carpenter received the Medal of Honor, the highest military honor one can receive.

I believe Kyle is probably relieved that he does not need anymore surgeries. Time for the body and mind to heal.

Have you seen Kyle on TV?? He is certainly somebody we can all be proud of..he is such a humble & low key guy ...As PX Kelly liked to say when talking about Marines who were wounded or killed in combat: "Where do we find these men?"...
