Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL for providing the Pentagon budget overview which reveals next pay raise and military retirement changes. I certainly hope and pray that our military leaders have wisdom and as well as Congress and the next POTUS.
The penciled in 1.6% raise in basic pay is a slight improvement above the 1.3% most recent increase. I hope that the pay raises will once again resemble the catch-up to civilian raises we went through during the Reagan presidency.
I hope we don't trumpet our intentions to the world about what we intend to do in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and North Africa and other unnamed places.
