It sure surprised me when I came across it. I'm really glad to see this. It's like a judge told my ex wife. There's a big difference in being a good father, and a good husband. There's a big difference in being a good General and a good husband.

If anyone ever thought special privilege and favoritism did not exist in the military, this should convince them otherwise. Only saving grace is that Gen Petraeus has sealed his history and this is how he will always be remembered, for being an unfaithful cheating husband and causing grave damage to two families, his and hers, while whispering sweet classified information in the ear of a female civilian not his wife. Lucky he has 4-star retirement so he won't be forced to look for employment after transition.

The person he had an affair with wasn't a civilian (West Point Grad, and Major in Reserves iirc), and had a security clearance. She just didn't have need to know or appropriate access.
