Excellently written article. One thing is we need to study what we as takers of pharmaceuticals do we pass in our urine or feces. The human body normally only keeps what it needs and passes the extra out. So what excess pharmaceuticals are we passing and how do we remove them from our water sources. Looking at wastewater treatment facilities alone leaves out all the septic systems used across this country. Living on base always had water treatment plant after active duty have been on septic in GA, MA, TN, KS and NE. Almost all those locations like in TN I live near a lake that the TN river runs through it.
