Not only did I not know this, I hadn't the foggiest as to what a "war tuba" was until now! Interesting! We've come a long way in technology since then, and I was impressed with the elaborate construction indicated in the pictures accompanying this article. Thanks for sharing!

Sgt Kelli Mays
MSgt Curtis Ellis I thought it was really interesting too....and especially since it is part of half of my heritage/culture...though I cannot say I'm proud of my ancestors.

Sgt Kelli Mays - I think we all have certain aspects of our heritage we're not proud of, but we can be proud that their actions created, and are a positive reflection, of who we are today! :)

Japan was an Ally in WWI Although they were not much involved. They were the biggest part of the "Expeditionary Force" of Mostly Victors of WWI that marched across the Russia to put the Fear of God into the Newly Created Communist State. They did such a good job of Intimidating the Russians that they didn't declare war on the Japanese in WWII until the Very End. I think there is Plenty to be Proud of in Japanese History and Culture. Hai Domo!

Thank you for this fascinating piece of military history which prompted me to find this site:

I wonder if Walt Disney was inspired in any way by the German versions?
