I am all for this program however, it cannot be an excuse for acting out. If there is a problem, you have a responsibility to seek help before you do something stupid.

LTC (Join to see) great post, doing the right thing and having situational awareness coupled with the Army values makes a great achievement to success in my opinion.

I am an adamant proponent of this. Seeing someone on a continued basis usually illicits a smile, commonality, and empathy. Mentors can often help the veteran in describing situations, different perspectives, and different approaches. Therapists don't understand the ghosts that inhabit in us.

To simplify this process, I visualize a Quartering Party reconnoitering a path and a final destination. We can share what we went through and how to find a semblance of peace.
