Inventory Supply Management

HQ 20th AF, 20th AF, AFGSC | Shaw AFB, SC

I began my USAF career stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin Texas, now the site to the Austin Texas Airport. I was stationed in Austin for about 2 years and then Desert Shield / Desert Storm began. I was moved(PCS) to LakenHeath England and while stationed there, went to Incirlik Turkey, for 8 months. I then did 2 TDY's to Germany. I extended my service to get a PCS back to the Good Old USA, and was stationed at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. However after arrival to Shaw, I was selected to TDY to Guantanamo Bay Cuba under Operation Joint Task Force. I spent 6 months in Cuba. I received an Honorable Discharge Jan 1994.

Deployments

Started in May 1993

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

Operation Joint Task Force. I was a supply person who was responsible for handling the supply of equipment, RAMS, and ensuring that the Haitian refugees that were staying at Camp Buckley were taken care of. I worked with all branches of the Military during this deployment.

Started in Feb 1991

Turkey

Deployed for 8 months in support of Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm. Responsible for supplying maintenance personnel with appropriate parts for making sure that all sorties were able to fly! I was also responsible for distribution, inventory, and supply of parts to all USAF personnel that were deployed from RAF Lakenheath Air Force Base.
