I operated our unit tow truck, a 5-ton M543A2 and worked in tandem with our 63Y track mechanic in operating our unit M578 Recovery track. We worked in support of the Infantry School, servicing the M966 TOW Hummers and M901 ITVs attached to our B Co. This was at a time when the 197th was our tennant unit (during Desert Shield/Storm before redesignation as 3/24th INF Div then 3/3rd INF Div) and we were still a Regimental formation.
