For those who are retired or discharged, if you could, would you reenlist to help Israel in their time of need?

That is a viewpoint.

Another is that we support our allies, especially those who have had genocidal attacks on them... and if we do that as part of the Military, all the better. Then again, if you join you aren't going to get to direct where you will go. If you join the Military you build our overall strength, so you might not be directly supporting our allies but you are supporting our ability to aid them.

It's not a viewpoint, it's a fact. It is VERY unlikely that the US military will have any direct involvement in this conflict. (Re)enlisting or not will have zero impact. The closest thing we'll come to it are those Sailors and Marines in that carrier group over there. They are not there to get involved, but rather to warn other neighboring countries to not get involved. There is no need for a troop buildup to accomplish that. We're basically going to keep everyone else out of the fight while Israel beats them down. That's supporting our allies.

While you do bring up a valid point, I do remember my oath, I have never been relieved of my oath. The same though, Israel is our ally and by that way of thinking we shouldn't be send aid or moving our navy closer to the region. The chances of the US getting into another war increases. Especially when we have Americans were or are being held hostage. I've never liked bullies and it's one of the reasons I joined the Marines. But I do like that veterans all have different opinions and we can voice them.

Your beliefs and desires are totally within your realm of reasoning and nobody has the right to deny your beliefs. I only addressed the question you posed: "would you reenlist to help Israel in their time of need?" The answer is that you cannot specifically enlist or reenlist for the specific purpose of helping Israel, Ukraine, or any other country. After enlisting or reenlisting, we are in the military service and will be required to defend any country the President or our appointed officers dictates us to assist...

I defend all weak and oppressed. Not just for what's going Israel. Not everyone in the US has the same ideologies as me, I've had different ideologies than some of those I've served with and we still did our jobs to the best of our ability. Everyone is accountable to their own beliefs and ideologies. As for me, I hold myself accountable to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As I've stated before I don't like bullies and I do see myself as a protector of those who need protection. I wouldn't have become a Marine if I didn't want to help people. Even when I was 4years old when God put it on my heart to be a Marine I, and growing up in rough neighborhoods I've always fought for what I believe in. I've protected persons who have wanted to kill me and other service members when in Iraq. What I posted was just a question and what had happened on a particular day. If the Marine Corps needs and I am recalled, which I highly doubt, then I will be of service and do the job to the best of my ability.
