I was a victim of the scam more than once, the sites are bogus and don't track anything. If you have a question or any doubts, call the U S Postal Service. They can tell you whether or not the number is a bogus tracking number.

I no longer receive packages at my physical address as I have all my packages sent to the post office since I have a paid mailbox there.

I have been scammed more than once. The worst was when I was on vacation and they froze my credit card right away.
When my package didn’t go where I wanted it to go the post office says it must be a scam
But the package got to Where was supposed to. I just had the wrong address.

1st Lt Mary James - Be sure when you order stuff that they ship by USPS. FedEx and UPS can't deliver to addresses that use PO Boxes.

Yes, they send you an email and state that a package is undeliverable and a link to rectify the issue is usually in the email. Once you login to UPS through the link, the scammers have your information and can redirect any package that you may receive in the future.

Some of those links also contain malware that sends your info to the scammers. Some scammers are now sending texts to cell phones too.

Yes, I used to be a rural carrier, the USPS will never notify you by phone. It will always notify the sender. Or the reciever by the yellow " sorry we missed you". The sorting facilities are pretty advanced and rarely screw up peoples packages. Also 3 out of the 4 times they tried it on me, they did it in a group chat and I let everyone know it was a scam.
