About

The purpose of Army JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens. Cadets learn through instruction given by JROTC Instructors, but gain valuable knowledge and practical leadership experience by planning and conducting their own activities and events under the oversight of instructors.

Instruction is designed to teach high school students the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment, while instilling in them self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. The curriculum is characterized by active learning and is aligned with the McRel (Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning) national standards.

JROTC Mission: to motivate young people to become better citizens.
