About
The Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers promotes the health, strength, and resilience of caregivers throughout the United States. Established in 1987 by former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, the Institute’s priority is the unpaid family caregiver: those individuals who care for a relative, friend or loved one.

How the organization supports veterans
Through our Operation Family Caregiver (OFC) program, RCI provides one-on-one coaching and a combination of in-person and virtual supports to caregivers of military service members and veterans. Our OFC program is focused on building resilience and problem-solving skills of caregivers and helping them to understand and prioritize self-care.
For caregivers of family or friends with dementia, we have specialized programs specially designed for your needs. For more information on these programs please visit https://www.rosalynncarter.org/programs/.
