About
R4 is an Alliance of Programs of Excellence providing therapeutic and community based recreation, as well as other specialized services, for Our Military Family. Our members are joining forces to overcome barriers to quality care provision through the following objectives:
- Advocate member driven standards of excellence
- Conduct research proving the efficacy of our services on a national scale
- Provide professional education leveraging our combined experience and collective knowledge
- Create a continuum of care between service providers
- Ensure the economic viability of our member organizations
R4 has more than 75+ programs of excellence who have collectively served over 158,000 members of our military family nationwide. (as of August 2016)

How the organization supports veterans
R4 Alliance members go through a vetting process to become a Program of Excellence and are not only fiscally responsible but also represent initiatives founded on research, dedicated to recruiting, and committed to the veterans’ reintegration back into society. Through education, collaboration and shared research and methodologies, R4 members become better equipped to provide services to those needing assistance. We strive to provide the resources, education and access to our Partner’s services to ensure their success with these collaborative efforts.
