I was in 96-98. 11B w/RIP contract. I got medically boarded for a nerve injury in shoulder. They awarded me 20% disability. I never even knew I had va benefits for about the first 12 years, because I had a new baby and needed to come home to work. I worked around it most of my life. At the time I think (1st year) they were paying me under $200/mo. The checks stopped, I fell into addiction and depression. I've been getting SOME help thru va but unfortunately the damage is done and on account of the pain that I get no help with, both shoulders trashed, depression from giving up my livelihood (cabinets). I can't work at all now and have no income. My mother helps alot but she's tired too. Any ideas? [login to see]

I'm honored to make a modest monthly contribution to DAV. Great cause.
