I was talking to a few people over the last couple of weeks. With the introduction of AI, healthcare feels less compassionate. Doctors use it to generate phrases to sound more compassionate thus making the patient feel heard and cared for. I watch some of the VA decisions and this quote just felt appropriate. As I type this, the nurses at two hospitals in my area are on strike regarding burnout and patient overload. A local aircraft company is also striking. More work, less people. The people working hardest are at the bottom of the triangle, the people being paid the most are at the top. In my humble opinion, we are losing sight of just how much the body and mind can withstand by talking numbers and statistics. The numbers look good on paper. How do they look on the battlefield?

An age old problem that isn't going to get better anytime soon. Can't tell you the number of battles I've had with bean counters who simply can't comprehend that issues and contributions go beyond dollars in and dollars out.

Very valid points, unfortunately, it's likely to get worse, not better, as the Boomers continue to retire and are not replaced in the job market.
