PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a period of very hot
temperatures, even by local standards, will occur. Actions should
be taken to lessen the impact of the extreme heat.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young
children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles
under any circumstances.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when
possible. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational
Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent
rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone
overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1.

As the remains of tropical storm Fay pass through the region tonight, the summits will stay in the clouds with slight chances of thunderstorms as the low pressure center passes to the Northwest. With the passage of the low, rains will ease somewhat, transitioning from steady precipitation into showers for the next 48 hours. Despite this activity, an upper level trough sitting overhead will enable the persistence of low pressure type conditions with precipitation continuing to occur throughout the forecast period. Despite the presence of the trough, a convergence zone to our Northeast will stunt any serious cyclone development for the time being, but the relatively low pressure will still enable chances for scattered thunderstorms in the White Mountain region, especially in the afternoon and evening hours. This will also keep temperatures high, and maintain the presence of humid air in the region.

Unless it's humid, 105 in New Mexico feels nice compared to 90 in Florida.
