About General Sullivan:
General Sullivan retired from the Army on July 31, 1995, after more than 36 years of active service. He culminated his uniformed service as the 32nd Chief of Staff—the Army’s senior general officer—and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
General Gordon R. Sullivan currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Campaign for the National Museum of the United States Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where construction is currently underway. A tireless advocate for Soldiers and their families, the Museum project remains consistent with General Sullivan’s priorities—to recognize the contributions of over 30 million American men women who have served in our Army.
General Sullivan retired from the Army on July 31, 1995, after more than 36 years of active service. He culminated his uniformed service as the 32nd Chief of Staff—the Army’s senior general officer—and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
From 1998 until this year, General Sullivan was the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Association of the United States Army, also headquartered in Arlington, where he oversaw the transformation of the association into a dynamic, member-based organization that continues to represent Soldiers, Army families, and the defense industry.
In addition to his numerous military awards and decorations, he is also the recipient of the AUSA 2016 George Catlett Marshall Award for selfless service to the United States of America, the West Point Association of Graduates’ Sylvanus Thayer Award and a member of the Sergeants Major Academy’s Hall of Honor.

such an involved question with diverse background resonance does need coverage and support beyond a theologian dabbles. i too was a rightfully ,a elected president of a local museum + member of very large city museum.. aw the trivial micro effects betwixt

not matter what any museum favors" to replicate , they always are survivors that have history to, my note is not about human anywhere verse human ,,, it is about other issues that past and near past have definitely brought forward.

SP5 Robert Ruck - Yes. The Cold War Gallery is broken into three distinct sections, “The Army in the Cold War,” “Korean War,” and the “Vietnam War.” The “Army in the Cold War” looks at the how Soldiers served around the world during the Cold War providing a full timeline of the Cold War (1947-1991). This exhibit also explores the General Defense Plan.
Relating to the Pershing Missile System, the Museum will display the Pershing Missile Qualification Badge, which was an unofficial badge that could be earned by Soldiers in four of the field artillery battalions armed with Pershing missiles that were stationed in Germany.

GEN Gordon Sullivan Thank you for being here on RallyPoint to answer questions Sir. It is a real honor. You spoke at my graduating class of 2002 at the Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA following the attacks of 9/11 and there wasn't a dry eye in the crowd that day when you awarded the honorary graduation certificate to the wife and children of Col. Canfield D. Boone, 53, 2002, 2001 - honorary graduate and posthumously promoted to colonel.

The most rewarding aspect of my life has been my lifelong relationship with the Army. Since I’ve retired I’ve been the AUSA President for 18 years and am now Chairman of the Board of the Army Historical Foundation involved with creation of National Museum of the US Army - a place which provides all an opportunity to gain insights into the American journey since 1636 to today as seen through the eyes of the American Soldier.

General (Retired) Gordon R. Sullivan-Chief of Staff, United States Army, was commissioned a second lieutenant of Armor and awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from Norwich University in 1959. He holds a Master of Arts degree in political science from the University of New Hampshire. His military schooling includes the Armor school, the Command and General Staff College, and the Army War College. He has served in a variety of Command and Staff positions including four years in joint and allied assignments. His overseas assignments include four tours in Europe, two in Vietnam and one in Korea. General Sullivan also served in assignments on the Army Staff in Washington, DC, including a tour as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans and the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army. General Sullivan has commanded at platoon through division level. In United State Army, Europe, He was assigned 3d Battalion 32d Armor as a Captain and later served as 1st Brigade, 3 Armor Division Commander. Gen. Sullivan later served as 3d Armored Division Chief of Staff and the VII Corps Operations officer (G-3). Subsequently, he served as the Assistant Commandant of the Armor School at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, on the NATO staff as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Support of the Central Army Group in Germany, and as the Deputy Commandant of the Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. He also served as the Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Riley, Kansas. In June 1991, General Sullivan became Chief of Staff of the United States Army. He also served as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
