Bio
Joined Army in 83 under delayed entry program. Went in July 84 as 19E at Ft.Knox after basic was assigned with 194th armored brigade 5/33 armor bn. Went to Korea twice was assigned to the same unit both times 2nd ID A co. 2nd 72nd armor Camp Casey after 1st time went back to Knox second time went to Ft.Hood. 2nd armored Division C company 166 armor. The best tank i was assigned to was M1A1 heavy. In 90 was redetermined as 19K.

Was Training NCO, career counselor, tank commander and also trained Korean tankers to use K1 which was the smaller version of the M1 and also participated in Team Spirit

When i returned i was placed in the same company i was in the first time deployed A company second tank. In both deployments was in 2ID. I had the same duties as my first tour except i was training NCO instead of company clerk.

Upon arrival found out that I was a turtle, I found out the term is for new soldiers on arrival of first deployment. Was assigned as a gunner on the platoon sergeants tank and when my duties weren't needed in the motor pool I was also assigned as company clerk. Was assigned in A company second tank as we called it 2/72 AR.
