My family member has a serve persistent asthma condition causing multiple hospital visits and multiple absences from work, we put in a EMFP reassignment location to macdill AFB. Because the problem is the longer we are in the location we are at the more my child is getting bronchitis (over 13 times) or pnemonia due to it being extremely cold. Do you think we will get disapproved and if we do what do we do?

I'm not sure what it's called in the AF, but in the Army we call it a compassionate reassignment. EFMP is a system that determines availability of medical resources for future assignments for your dependents. The other part of it is that your EFMP request won't necessarily take you where you wanted to go, but where there are spots available.

The provider is usually required to determine places you can go where the condition won’t flare up, not a pinpoint. Then your personnel manager at HQAF level reassigns you.
