What is really behind Obamas constant attemts to disarm America? Is this why he wants a nationalized police force so badly?

Do you have any evidence of this aside from some opinions expressed by a couple of people who have never actually tried? Any at all? No, didn't think so.

nothing at all I'd reckon. Just a lot of time on worldnetdaily, alex jones and numerous other tinfoiler sites.

Who knows what evil lurks in the minds of men? I guess we have to ask The Shadow for the answer to this one... Sorry, I just had to get that out of my system. The truth is that there probably is no one reason. There are those well-intentioned leaders who want us to take the road to hell with them (although they don't see that as their destination). There may be those who have tyrannical intentions and need for us to be disarmed. And, there are many shadings of reason in between. Finally there are those who are simply responding to the express desires of the masses who fear guns. These are the ones who "lead from behind".

Is he really trying to disarm us? It seems that even he knows that would be near impossible without an armed revolt by the people who support the 2nd Amendment.

SGT (Join to see) - You still did not answer my question about what you were referring to as being broken. The police force? Not necessarily - but they do racially profile, which I think is wrong. The court system and related justice departments? Probably.
It is interesting about your statement about other nations and their laws and their police forces. Here is an assignment for you - Study the path/route the Puritans and Pilgrims' took on their way to North America, then revisit or read "The Pilgrim's Progress", then come back and tell us how good or bad the European or Pac Rim nations law/legal systems have over the law/legal systems in the United States.
SGT (Join to see), though you are a self stated liberal, at least you try to use common sense when making your statements or arguments. THANK YOU!

SGT (Join to see) - Sergeant; I suspect that it would have to be implemented as a joint Federal/State project.
Ultimately the total cost of training police officers would end up being less due to the economy of scale.

I have multiple friends in the police force so my opinion of it may be a bit biased. My only knowledge of police training is based on anecdotal evidence given to my by those friends. So my opinions are readily and openly flawed, as I said before. My biggest problems with how our law enforcement is flawed are deliberately vague, it's not really to avoid your question, but to avoid going on and on about human nature.
As I mentioned I do know a few cops and those cops that I know do a fantastic job. I would even go so far as to call them brothers in arms (especially since most of them I met through the National Guard). They are, however, severely underfunded. The police force just doesn't have the equipment and the training that the military has. And I know it's kind of a hot button topic for come of the more conspiracy driven ones, but can't we dedicate as much care to the training of the people who protect American citizen's directly as to the ones like you and I who do so indirectly? I think the system is broken because (again, I might be wrong . . . anecdotal evidence only) They should be better equipped to handle situations nonlethally. I think there needs to be more officers trained in dealing better with emotionally charged situations, especially given the large numbers of suicides and domestic disputes they respond to. And I think they need to be held both to a state of higher accountability for their mistakes, and a higher reward for their accomplishments. You can't walk half a block around here without seeing "support our troops" where's the "support our police force?" I don't think that it's just a police force problem, this whole nation has a problem. We worship heroes that toss an oblong ball across a field with some chalk on it but fight against the ones who, with substandard equipment and training, put themselves out to be targets every day within the supposedly safe confines of our own back yard! While our justice system does work, you will never here me claim it doesn't, you have to admit it has it's faults as well. We live in a country where if you get arrested for something you did not do . . . say, petty theft . . . and you cannot afford bail, you will be encouraged to take a plea deal rather than wait in jail for what has in some cases been years for the charges to either be dropped or someone to hopefully prove you innocent.
As for the rest, yea I'm a liberal. Liberals are responsible for all the best things in this country. Some not so good things as well of course, like welfare and the democratic embarrassment that is the affordable care act (Look demmies, I appreciate what you tried to do, but that was not the best way to do it) Sometimes Republicans have been liberal, sometimes the Democrats. Women's suffrage was considered liberal in it's day, ending slavery was considered liberal in it's day, as was desegregation. But I am primarily liberal because of one very deeply held belief Change is the very definition of life. Maybe we'll make mistakes, maybe America will get weaker, maybe stronger, maybe a billion different things will happen. But I am liberal because after a long hard look at myself and the reality we inhabit . . . Stuff will always change no matter what. The choice everyone has is to be somewhere on the cutting edge of that change . . . or somewhere behind it.

SGT (Join to see) - Thank you. Now it is easier to understand your stance and your original statement. As for the police force bias, I can fully understand; in my case I had relatives that were members of three different police departments, one was a chief of police, one was a detective (female (back in the 1960's), and one that was a regular patrolman. And I do respect them highly.

The irony is that Obama was the best salesman for firearms in the history of the country. The more he talked about gun control the more people bought guns.

It's because leftists believe they know what is better for you than you could ever possibly figure out for yourself. If you have a weapon, you could hurt yourself with it.

It's about feeling good on the left. They cannot understand that only a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun.

Hitler started by nationalizing healthcare (Obamacare?) and followed up with gun registration ... and confiscation from any considered politically unreliable. He's just following the lead of his idols!

In fact, they all do it in some form or fashion. Makes for good politics to bring in the left votes.
