Can anyone tell me why the process takes so long for RC officer/warrant promotions to run through the FedRec cycle? I'm an ARNG officer and I've had my state promotion orders for CPT since the middle of April. I've been tracking my packet on the ARNG-G1 website and it was awaiting addition to a scroll until a month ago and last week the scroll was ready to start the approval DoD cycle. Thoughts?

Update on this:

Looks like exactly 6 months after I got my state orders I've finally moved into the DoD approval cycle. Now on day 1, my status looks like the attached screenshot. I'm going to check this everyday and post another screenshot every time it changes so that we know which desks the packets cross, the exact order in which they cross those desks, and the timeframe that people can expect for each one.

I received a copy of my promotion orders from the state's Command CWO yesterday and my orders posted in iPerms today. Pinning ceremony scheduled for Monday. Also, date of rank is the 18th of January even though the scroll wasn't published until the 30th. Hope this helps others still waiting.

How long are most people sitting in "Awaiting initial packet review" waiting to scroll? It's been about three months for me so far.

My 1LT to CPT Packet was submitted to NGB on 29 SEP 2020, it is still Awaiting initial packet review. Why is it taking so long for an update on the G1 Portal? My promotion from 2LT to 1LT took 394 days in the FEDREC cycle! These delays are so detrimential to the career path for older officers like myself. Is there anyone who can find out what scoll I might be on? My Unit has no IDEA!

CPT (Join to see) - The G1 website has been down but when I finally got in it updated to this. So I wonder how long it has actually been at this stage. I hope its not one that sits here and at SECDEF for 30 days each.
