Why is it since social media has become the norm users are defined by their posts?

Your posts can tell a lot about you. Typically, users post what they find to be important to themselves. My social media for example, you'll find I post a lot about my service dog, IT, and family. There are some political posts but I try to keep those off social media. So a user can quickly find themselves defined by their posts. If you see my posts, you know I'm an IT nerd, sports fan, veteran advocate, and I have a family.
