Is there a date where they all charge at once or will it be a gradual roll out?

That's going to cost the services a small fortune that could be used elsewhere.

SGT (Join to see) - And how far would @!M go towards getting rid of mold and other problems in our on base housing? Every piece of stationary down to the Compnay level will have to be changed, etc.

MSG (Join to see) - Over the weekend I actually saw the full cost from the report (I actually think it was larger than what you stated). Tbh my reaction wasn't "we shouldn't do this" but "How the F' does this cost so much?!" Gov't spending practices are ridiculous.

SECDEF's guidance was to start implementing the changes immediately following the mandated 90-day waiting period (which is over now). Additionally, he put a NLT of 1 JAN 24 as a deadline.

MAJ Ronnie Reams - Rgr - nothing would have taken place yet as there was a 90 day window for "comments and 'is there any reason we shouldn't do this legally'" .. that ended recently (SECDEF signed off on it back towards the end of September -- 90 days would put it at the end of December).

Aren’t the remnants of Fort Fisher now under the supervision of Seymour Johnson AFB?

Yeppers, 4th FW SJAFB. Not remnants, been a lot of new construction there lately. New quarters, and training facilities for NCNG, among other things. Remodel of club. Thriving fort.

COL Randall C. - Oh, I know it will take years to change everything there. Thought they would start using the new name. I remember when there was a new ACC CC, and he changed the shade of brown for the official color. Took contractor over 2 years and SJAFB is a medium size base. No name change involved, just new color for roofs, gutters, down spouts, signs, poles, etc. right down to the rectangles on curbs for naming a parking spot.
