Fermented shark and dolphin in Iceland. Shark was the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth. Dolphin stark was actually very good. Like the venison of the ocean.

There is a fish delecacy they make up there that involves putting fish in a 50 gal barrel (Herring) filling that up with salt water and burring all but the last 6 inches of the barrel in the snow for several months, from there the fish are canned. What results is a can of fish you have to open up under water because the stench is sooooooo bad, but once you get past the smell the taste isnt that bad.

Well, I can't be sure since there wasn't much evidence to go on.......but.......there was a few months at Ft Irwin where the options in the chow hall were going up while "coincidentally" the coyote population seemed to dwindle some.

One of the weirdest things I've ever eaten is my ex mother-in-laws biscuits. They were hard as a rock. My brother-in-law said we could have taken a couple dozen to Vietnam and won the war.

Boiled squid tip. Fried dog, a hamburger made from water buffalo, and some Nước chấm.

Raw horse sliced thin and served at a temperature right around freezing. It melted in your mouth and the texture changed from stiff into something tender. All in all, it was pretty good; kind of sweet.

The gum out of the MRE's!!! No just kidding. Probably, steamed squid egg sacks with seaweed garnish or maybe it was this balut (pictured above). They eat some crazy things in the Philippines.

Whale in Japan and dog in the Philippines. My friend's friendly dog would never approach me after that.
