Sorry in advance for the not so clear picture.

I was told he joined the service a month after the Korean War ended. I was also told he was at Japan, Fort Eustis and Fort Bragg. I thought he was in the 82nd ABN DIV. Supposedly there's no record of him in the division.

Agree with those who say 8th Army. Terrain in background looks more like Japan than Ft Eustis or Ft Bragg. Few hills in the Ft Bragg area and even fewer in Ft Eustis area. I was stationed at Langley AFB and flew over most of the terrain between there and Ft Bragg many times. Mountains are well to the west of both locations as I recall.

I was looking at some old patches and best I can figure is 8th Army as well. Can't be 100% sure, but based off that angle it looks probable. Maybe you can request records from the National Archives.
