I am asking just to find out how others feel about this site. I know to me it has really, with few exceptions, been a great place to be. Here has teally helped me, weather just reading what others say and feel. or being able to have some little input myself. To me just to have a place to speak with others that I understand and to know they understand me is a blessing. civilians, for the most part, either don't understand us or even know what we are talking about. I just wanted to take a minute to thank you guys for being here for me. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!

RallyPoint is an excellent forum for our military and veteran community. Sure, there are some irrelevant topics and occasionally an inappropriate response. But overall the camaraderie, the access, and the collaboration among our community is outstanding!

That's probably the funniest set of assumptions and self-affirmations that I have seen in a while.
And again, I reiterate, THIS is exactly what is wrong with RP. It has become a place where military-related folks chat, BS, and (occasionally) posture and troll. I think it is beyond the original intent and has degenerated into the lowest common denominator and is now a military themed Facebook.

It is a mixture of entertainment and occasionally a chance to help an active or retired service member with a tidbit of knowledge locked away in a clutter of useless information.
