Best beer stateside and the best beer you've ever had (can also be stateside as well).

Since I've never left the states, right now I'm drinking Quilters Irish Death Dark Smooth Ale.... And holy shit batman, this is some good beer... Little pricey, but definitely worth it

Beer is like wine or cigars. A great variety of styles and flavors means you can discover what you enjoy most. So it's a matter of trying things out. I do recommend you keep an eye out for any micro breweries out there. They will pop up in the oddest locations. Although I live out in the sticks, our small town has a microbrewery that makes a great stuff and their food is always good. If you get up to Hayden, Idaho, there's a wholly Vet owned/operated/staffed one called Mad Bomber. I keep my eye out for Vet run anything. Enjoy the journey.

Stateside: Shiner bock
Belgium: Grimbergen, Chimay, or Hoegaarden
Germany: Erdinger, or anything blonde
There are a lot of good microbreweries around Oregon and Colorado though.

Blue Moon and Alaskan White. Anyday.
Also, being from Wisconsin... anything from Leinies is good in my book.

Allagash White or the Hitachino Wit are phenomenal Blue Moon substitutes on the witbier side. For a true Belgian wit, St. Bernardus is about as good as you can get IMO.

Have y'all ever had Not Your Fathers Rootbeer? I'm not a beer drinker, I like whiskey. But this is the best beer I've ever tasted and yes I've tasted plenty of beer.

SSG Drew Cook In my defense I'm a small town kid from Wisconsin who hasn't yet been too far cultured enough to be able to try all of these but I will work on it! Also, Skyllar Ingram I have tried those, a little too sweet for my taste, but pretty good!
