I don't mean obvious ones like WLC and ALC. I mean ones that don't neccessarily fall in line with a soldiers career path.

Are you talking Troop Schools like Armorer course, CBRN, Safety, DTMS User type schools?

If you go to your Schools NCO, they should have a list of all of those schools and seats available for the Fiscal Year. Normally they will get the list from the Higher HQ with the allotted seats for the Brigade, the Brigade will then divide the seats amongst the Battalions and the Battalions divide them among the Companies. Every Fiscal Year a new list is sent down.
