Once upon a time in my unit we wore a Deer head on our left arm and the 101st Eagle on the right. Many of us called it the "zoo" patches.

As much as I hate to admit it, I prefer my 10worst combat patch to my Big Dead One. By far my fave is 11th ACR. Nineveh Province 2004/2005.

That would all depend on who you served in combat with for me I am very proud of my service in the 25th Inf. Div. I take great pride in my 27th Infantry Regiment (Wolfhounds) ! We were a very close unit when we deployed to Vietnam from Hawaii.

SGT Matthew Ellis - I was in 2d Brigade from 99-2008 when we reflagged to 172 SIB. It was not always worn by Dagger Brigade either. There were times we did and other times we didn't. Once GWOT kicked off it started switching back and forth. Primarily during the 2006-2007 deployment. What unit was you with?

SGT Matthew Ellis - I would be very upset if they turned the Big Red One Black on the patch. That just is not right.

SGT (Join to see) I can wear at least 6 that I can recall, but 10th Mountain is my favorite... "Climb to Glory!"

Worked with your boys at MOUT on Pickett. Squared away. Did you here about the football game we had with the Marine refuelers. They look like they spent most of their time in the weight room. They were actually an organized unit football team, is sappers and your boys got together for a game with them one night. We had 4 subs, so most of us were playing on both sides of the ball. After 2 hours, final score: Mountain 4, Marines 1.

I was 10th Mtn attached to 2ID in Mosul 03-04'. I have one of the few that were made in country with the Indian facing the wrong direction.

My favorite posting. It was one of the few places in the Army you could go in the '80s in my line of work with a live mission.

We all love our units we have served with and my most favorite is BERLIN CSC3/6 INF so i can say we are all very proud of our units,

This is the one that broke my deployment cherry as well as both my feet. Been rocking it for 10 years.
