first question. What do you have against him? why move him out of leadership positions? if you are moving him for HIS benefit, try a training command.

do not waist your time..The politics will get you promoted not job dedication. once you get a little higher in rank you will see what I mean. Good luck and get out now after you get your education.

For Army Soldiers go to Army Career Tracker (ACT) and you can drill down the MOS and rank of the individual being evaluated. It's a very useful tool. The listed positions and broadening assignements are the only ones available to a Soldier per Army guidance. HRC will often kick back an evaluation that does not list these assignments. It makes sense because if it isn't available to the Soldier, why would it be a good choice recommendation for that evaluation?

Have the Soldier show you their Army Career Tracker (ACT) with jobs specific to their MOS. This is a good place to start. A conversation with the Soldier helps. Once you have your plan take it to the PSG or 1SG or CSM for a sanity check.

You have an ACT career map as well

Doug,
Here is a link to the Professional Development Model (PDM) for the Infantry. I am most familiar with this model as I helped develop and build it (11C portal) when I was assigned to OCOI.
Each Branch's Proponent Office should maintain an up to date PDM that reflects the current pathway to success/promotion based upon centralized promotion board results and analysis, DA guidance, and historical norms.
Thank you for your service.
Chris

Nothing better than a broadening assignment after fulfilling the required squad leader time. Recruiter, Drill, or AIT instructor.
