Gov. Scott Walker has signed a bill that makes lying about military service a crime.

The Republican bill makes falsely claiming military service or a military award a misdemeanor punishable by up to nine months in jail and $10,000 in fines.

If someone makes those claims intending to commit or aid another crime he or she would be guilty of a felony punishable by up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

Walker signed the bill Wednesday.

The Assembly passed the measure in April. The Senate followed suit in May.

Wouldn't do any good. Economy has been tainted by ferrous elements in order for some to feel richer than they are.

This guy's a total fraud. You never wear medals and ribbons together, and notice the Purple Heart in the lowest and most outboard position. When I find one trying to pass himself off as a Marine, I always ask for the numerical designation of his MOS. Stumps 'em every time. And where he went thru ITR. That gets 'em too.

It was about time. It is something that upsets me. Many brave men and woman have bled because of the simple fact of wearing that uniform. They deserve to be respected and the uniform should be worn with pride and only by those who have earn it. Not by any shit head out there who think is kool.
