I was reading the new tonight and found this. I agree with this. He is anti-GOP establishment. They fear him to be honest. He can't be bought with campaign money or backing. He has only used his own money and gets his own support. To me this looks like the death of the GOP establish. It was only a matter of time. In the past you had the Tea Party come out and take it on but they didn't defeat it. Now Trump is taking on the establishment and is smashing it. They are trying everything and they can't handle him. This time the establishment is losing and losing bad. To me he will be the new face of the new party. What kills me is that how many people are doubting him. He is so much support that he has to be onto something. He is killing his competition but they don't view as a real option. His turn out in Nevada was huge. He had more votes for himself than people that voted in the last primary.
What do you think about this? I am not really concerned about his overall attempt as being the next POTUS. I am more focusing on what he is doing to the party that he is aligned with.

Well...they let him denigrate the Party! and its good for them because they Underestimated him from the Beginning! Truth be told! Most of the Country are Trump Thinkers! They are excited because they finally have someone to say how they FEEL!

Please explain with a little more detail of how most people are Trump thinkers, because I for one have not run into a whole lot of them.

CPT (Join to see) - Do you really know where he stands? He is as bad as a career politician that flip flops on things when they are convenient to him.

LTC (Join to see) - Maybe be the case but I doubt another country is going to try to call him out.

CPT (Join to see) - Possibly, or we could be in for aa new Cold War with a much more hollow force.

CPT (Join to see) Trump's greatest appeal is that he ain't one of them. So, please vote Trump! Anything to correct and change the course of the government.

The GOP did vastly underestimate him and are totally discombobulated when it comes to Trump. He's a loose cannon that they can't control with money and they are terrified. Kinda funny to watch'em squirm...lol

It's about time the GOP got to eat some humble pie. I'm glad Trump had stepped forward and feeding it to 'em. Our political system needs a shake up and now's the time. I hope he goes all the way.

CPT (Join to see) - It's because people are so pissed off at both the press and politicians.

Sure he says what is on his mind, and people love it. He is still a freaking politician, he hasn't stood firm on anything yet, except how much he likes to hear himself talk. Why do we have such crappy candidates all the time. I think the Republican race is going to become interesting, heard that Rubio and Cruz are teaming up together.

I appreciate what his (and Bernie's) anti-establishment campaign is doing to American politics, however I fear the precedent that is being set - only billionaires can succeed without party backing. I'm not trying to turn this into a campaign finance reform discussion, I just don't believe for one minute he has the interests of us 'common folk' in his heart. But then, I don't think any other candidate does either. Everyone applauds the fact that he is financing his own campaign, and while I guess that's noble, he's still a billionaire...with a billionaire's motives, objectives, and goals.

He is the death of the GOP as it is currently and the face of the new Republican party, I will not call it the GOP.

Can you say "Brokered Convention"? He may win the popular vote but in the end it will be the GOP "Apparatchiks" who decide if he will be the nominee or not and they will pick his VP for him. The whole thing reminds me of Carter in 76 and Reagan in 80.

Trump is the anti-GOP, GOP candidate. It is strange to watch this unfold. He is not "owned" by the party nor is he "owned" by special interests. He can say what he likes without concern from donors or the party itself. He has essentially used the GOP to create a platform for himself to launch his campaign as one of them but he really isn't one of them.
He was able to get the party to have all of the candidates sign the "we will support the nominee" pledge. At the time the GOP was concerned he would not win but would have a strong showing and might hurt the party of he ran as an independent. Now the prey has become the predator. This might be another example of him being able to outthink/out negotiate the power brokers in the party.
It seems like many of his supporters like him because he just speaks his mind. No poll tested sound bytes, no pre-constructed talking points, no teleprompter with someone else's words etc. I don't think that means all of his supporters endorse every position he takes. He is punching the GOP establishment in the nose and many registered GOP members seem to like the beating.
