To receive BAH while at basic training, do I need to bring a lease, even though I'm married and have a child?

Do you need to bring a lease for BAH even if your married with a child? My recruiter says I will get it anyway (without a copy of lease) due to the fact I am married and have a child. Thoughts?

Hey if my wife and son are staying with family what do I bring to basic to show proof of that?

It won’t hurt to bring it. I just got to my reclass station and they said to bring it, but they never asked for it once I got here.
