I have been reading the Army Times since the 70's and think it was a bad move. Soldiers , Active, Reserve/Guard and Retired rely on the "timely" information contained within. Was a good paper, could be again!

I like the weekly information, but maybe they cannot sustain it.

No. I see no reason why AFN could be broadcast. However, troop movements, locations, numbers, etc. "sensitive information' and such should not be disclosed on air. This poses a problem though since, AFN isn't available to people outside of bases and such? I could be wrong, but it's done that way for many good reasons.

Ah, I was talking about the Army Times newspaper. Though I would love to be able to get AFN or AFRS again
