Just curious as to who should be saluted at the end of a meeting.

I have always seen a commander saluted if he is holding the meeting, but rarely the Xo.

That being said, what if its the AS3 or a BDE Medo holding a sync meeting?

Just curious as to what others think or if anyone has knowledge of specific regs covering such.

Doesn't anyone consult "Service Etiquette" anymore?

In the maritime services, we don't salute indoors, unless covered, and we are not covered unless under arms. We stand for command authority or the senior officer, when s/he stands to adjourn the meeting.

I've saluted the CDR in previous Units and my most recent deployment. The first admin meeting I was at with my current unit. We all stood, but they all looked at me like I was crazy when I saluted
