If the crime was treated as treason, would this help to deter perpetrators because of the punishment?
trea·son

1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.

2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.

3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.

"the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill the sovereign or overthrow the government." This is the definition of treason. So I believe that it shouldn't be treated as treason.

As wrong as it is it doesn't seem to be on the same level as treason.

There is a mora; delima in our country, unless we start killing people for this crime it won't just go away. Even if you kill people for it, it would still happen. We just need better ways to protect ourselves, friends, and family.

Well, terrorism is about intent, not the action itself. If I shoot someone, that's murder. If I shoot someone to force the government to make a decision/change etc... that's terrorism. It's about the intent, not the act itself.

But I get it though, you just want to make SA more "evil" (though that really shouldn't have to be done).
