News-wise, what TV news stations and newspapers (both Iraqi AND non-Iraqi) are currently most popular with Iraqis?

I remember Al-Arabiya was a popular news station there, along with Al-Jazeera. Some had satellite TV thru Arab Sat (based in Saudi) and Nile Sat (based in Egypt), two of the biggest ones. You could get CNN International and BBC World News, along with numerous Arab news channels and soccer 24/7. Nile Sat had a lot of American movies and some older TV shows, like Knight Rider. Arab Sat was more conservative.
That was in 2011. I'm sure it's changed some now. The telecom industry was really ramping up there when i left.
Not sure about newspapers.

LTC (Join to see) - Technically, that PAO has both the ability the obligation to clear the story, yes. HOWEVER: To cover your backside, I recommend either you or the Ft. Dix PAO touch base with LTG Luckey's PAO as well to run it by them. His aide will be able to point you to the right POC. If you're truly keen to avoid issues with LTG Luckey & his staff, then it makes sense to run the story by -- yep, you guessed it -- his staff. You don't have to, but it's a professional courtesy. It gives them the opportunity to critique or make edits to the story or correct any misquotes or mistakes before it goes to press. Although your story topic sounds innocuous enough, better to be safe than sorry in this instance, you don't want to get on the bad side of a three-star. You want to make sure you get out the right "command message" and properly communicate the "commander's intent."

BTW, be sure to let both PAOs know that you plan to post it online and provide them with a link to the RallyPoint website so that they know exactly where it is going to be posted once it has been cleared. It's important that they know that this story may get high visibility in an online community that is heavily-saturated with very large number of military and ex-military personnel. With that amount of exposure, they may want to go over your story with a fine-tooth comb to ensure it reflects the message they want to send.

SPC Jenna Bisenius - Yes, thanks Jenna. He did talk about strategic threats that we may face: Russia and China and their capabilities that he was privy to as the Chief of Staff of NORAD. The stuff he mentioned is open source but I just wanted him to be happy with what I am publishing. That is why I want my paraphrasing of what he said will not get him nor his staff blindsided. I,hopefully, will hear from the local PAO on post in the next 48 hours and see what they do and what they say. Thanks for expertise in this!

LTC (Join to see) - Here is a story I had put in Rallypoint a while back on a WW2 Veteran that belonged to the unit I belong to now. I had it published in my Brigade Newsletter last summer and the Training Command PAO (2 Star level) Ltc discussed it with my but he has not published it yet.

There is a state-run TV station called Al-Iraqiya TV – IMN (http://www.imn.iq/) but in the main, no, it's pretty much free and independent, although many news outlets due have a strong leaning towards one political party or another.

SPC Jenna Bisenius - Sounds similar to what we have CONUS w/ different parties and ideas.
