What is up with leaders not having a life. Yes it's important to check on your troops but n counsel them but being a square and not using common sense is the reason troops don't trust us. Troop who is underage posts picture if them drinking. What do u do ? Give him the death penalty. No tell him to take it down

Two months later, that underage paratrooper gets a DWI, command finds out you saw or known about a pic he posted of him underage drinking...... On and on and on
Don't think your a bad leader cause you have to slap someone with some UCMJ, they need it and if leaders keep protecting them, or looking the other way, were setting them up for failure
By the way, that scenario was true, sad face day for that guy

And this is why counseling at a minimum is necessary. DWI may be a good day. Fatality of soldier, family, other innocents is also likely.

If its your "buddy" and you have no authority, sure, tell him to take it down.  But leadership has a responsibility to take action, especially when a Soldier is doing something illegal, or else the leader is just as culpable for whatever follows as the Soldier is.
