77-year-old Jane Fonda was at the Weinberg Center for the Arts in Frederick for a speaking engagement Friday.

Fonda told the audience she made a "huge mistake'' that led many to think she was against soldiers fighting in Vietnam, and it's something that she'll take to her grave. She says she understands their anger and that it makes her sad.

Fonda drew the ire of many Americans when she visited North Vietnam at the height of the Vietnam War, leading some to call her "Hanoi Jane.''

In recent years, Jane Fonda has more vocally apologized for her actions during the Vietnam War, which led many to call her "Hanoi Jane". Many Veterans say her actions are unforgivable and on par with treason against the USA.

What do her apologies these days mean to you? Please vote in the survey!

Keep in mind that as insufferable as she was then some of the heinous acts she had been accused of doing may have not actually happened. Do i think she was a trailer? oh hell yeah I do! Did any die from her actions? I'm not so sure. If she didn't and still asked for forgiveness maybe we should let it go and put our collective anger somewhere else. .. like hippies! Dirty dirty hippies! Lol

She should be shot. Her brother should be slapped. Just my opinion.

I think that she is an opportunist for publicity.

Anything that will keep her in the lime light. Many of these Hollywood types make me sick. They live in a world of their own.

Forgiveness is something that gives the offended peace not the offender.

It will never cease to amaze me how these "Characters" have no problem taking money from people yet offend them at the same time.

I am still surprised that she has not been charged with something. I would love to see it. A little piece of justice for our older brothers and sisters.

She should have had her citizenship revoked and kicked out of the country.

Coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Mixed two thoughts into one sentences and accidentally hit the enter button. I have no use for her and there is no excuse for what she has done. She is a waste of skin and an oxygen thief.

*cough*

Facts Anyone?

I particularly like the part where the POW has to sue to get people to stop making things up in his name.

That being said, I try not to pay attention to anything starlets do today. Not sure Barberella should be this big of an issue.

Then stick to the facts. The good the bad and the ugly. But why make all this stuff up? At some point it becomes like inverse Chuck Norris jokes.
