Is University of Maryland University College a deployment-friendly school?

I am due to deploy to Kuwait within the next couple months and need to find a great military-friendly school to help me get though classes while down range. I have heard things about American Military University, but nothing in regards to UMUC. I am leaning towards UMUC because there is a campus located on Camp Arifjan, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it'll be easier. Any advice offered is appreciated!

I have a close friend who is in Afghanistan, he says he has not had any issues with UMUC while he has been there, which is most of this year. I have heard good things about them as far as doing the courses during deployment and such. However, my wife recently applied there, just wanting to finish her bachelors up, and was going to go into the same field, she was pursuing in the states. She has 108 credit hours, and the school she was going to transfer to in the states before I decided I wanted to go active instead of reserves was going to transfer about 95 of them, UMUC said they would take like 30, so be aware that they do not accept a lot of transfer credits if they are specialized.

I went through UMUC on-line. I had no issues. I took 3 classes wile deployed. Wile PCSing they granted an incomplete on a class so I could finish the work later.
Best of luck!
