I am a M-day member of the Army Guard and I have 14 years in with a 60% VA rating, I may be facing a med board sometime as I have ulcer colitis, I was wondering how this goes for Guard members, I cant seem to find much about what happens after and how it affects retirement and med pay along with VA rating, the VA has denied any rating for the UC so will this also affect them picking that up to?

Good day ssg. ok i was army i received 50% got up to 70% on my own. Make sure as you know get your medical records each and every visit. Dont miss v.a. appeals back pay depends on this. Also get any new medical check up stating ibs or gerd. V.A. recognizes those two. mmmm? complain complain complain off pain. make a daily journal. of course lod untill or if they send you active for meb then hit sick call like no tomorrow get many tests as you can and key words are ibs and gerd or ibs , gerd secondary to UC.

I'm going through the board process now, though on active duty. If you have access to a PEBLO, reach out and talk to them. Absent that, http://www.pebforum.com has been a great launching point for research and references.
