Something bad is going to happen there. This is a Russian attempt to provoke something.

We had a chance to work with Russia and build relations and we blew it. Russia warned us and asked us to not support the Syrian Rebels. Against their wishes we did and our actions totally destabilized Syria. They acknowledge that Bashar Al-Assad is a bad guy but the alternative was worse.

I agree with everything you said sir except for the part about Assad being a bad guy, I believe that is being pushed on us by our media. Every middle eastern leader is authoritarian to a degree, it's how the middle east is in reality, but specifically in the case of Assad he was moving his country towards a more capitalistic and less state controlled economy. He is staunchly anti ISIS/ Wahabist Sunni, his wife doesn't wear a hijab, and he never even saw himself running Syria after his father (He studied to be an eye doctor in England) The reality is I believe Syria to be less of a proxy war between the US/ Russia, and more a direct war against Syria in the interests of Israel.

It's time the US stopped meddling in internal affairs abroad. There are always unintended negative consequences.

It's kind of like a pendulum, we stick our noses too far or we isolate and have to come back at a later point/ time. WWI and WWII we were against intervening until both nearly destroyed Europe, in Rawanda thousands were massacred while we did nothing, right or wrong we had to go back to Iraq to finish what we started with Saddam, our short sightedness with the Afghan mujahadeen dragged us back into Afghanistan. But yes, generally if we stayed out of these places all together for the most part we could focus on fixing our own country.
