It has been raining here in Texas NON STOP for two days now and apparently not going to stop till after Sunday.
I am sitting here typing this listening to it rain....and it's not just raining, it's POURING. It poured all last night...on and off again during the day and now it's been pouring since around 4pm and has not let up.
It's crazy!

TSgt Hunter Logan I had a friend in Germany who now lives in Myorka, Spain.
Well, actually South Carolina and a couple of weeks ago, the road he lives on was flooded but fortunately no damage or even water in the house.

UPDATE ON FORMER HURRICANE PATRICIA who just 24 hours later was a tremendously strong
and dangerous Hurricane (Cat 5) and now has dissipated. Such are these systems. The problem
is the residual storm damage due to present gradients and lift associated with low pressure and
Tropica Cyclone is doing just that.
Post-Tropical Cyclone PATRICIA
ZCZC MIATCDEP5 ALL
TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM
POST-TROPICAL CYCLONE PATRICIA DISCUSSION NUMBER 20
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL EP202015
400 PM CDT SAT OCT 24 2015
Satellite imagery and surface observations from northern Mexico
indicate that Patricia has degenerated to a remnant low pressure
area characterized by no organized convection and a poorly defined
surface circulation. The remnant low is expected to move
northeastward and weaken to a trough during the next several hours,
with the trough being absorbed by a non-tropical area of low
pressure over southern Texas tonight or on Sunday.
"This is the last advisory issued by the National Hurricane Center
on Patricia. However, a threat of heavy rains continues over
portions of Mexico and the northwestern coastal areas of the Gulf of
Mexico. Future information on these rains can be found in statements
issued by local National Weather Service forecast offices and the
Meteorological Service of Mexico." NOAA
The worst damage was avoided as then Hurricane Patricia hit land
and more importantly crossed over Mountainous terrains. Shearing
takes place and the moisture is squeezed out by the adiabatic
process.
This system has a high likelihood or redeveloping as it goes offshore
around the Atlantic. Along its path we will encounter some heavy
rain and strong winds due the Pressure Gradient Force.
Except for the information in quotes, the rest is my own
characterization of this system's cyclosis, which is a fancy
way of saying, DISSIPATION.
