Is allowing NCOs to get an AER loan without Command approval a good or bad idea?

“We saw, after 10 (plus) years of war, that our NCOs are responsible individuals,” said Eldon Mullis, AER’s deputy director for administration.
I both see the pros and cons in this change. What is your opinion on the matter?

What are your feelings on this? I personally disagree with the decision as Soldiers may use this as the first option, I normally would sit a Soldier down and discuss the situation and see if we can find a resolution. I agree that the AER program is a great system as it assists Soldiers in the time of need, but as a leader I would like to know before a Soldier goes and applies for the loan.<div><br></div><div><br></div>
