I'm a SPC currently on 68C AIT. What is the better route to become an officer after completion of AIT?

I have been looking into the DPT program with Baylor University and the AECP program too. I have a 4 yrs bachelors degree on Interdisciplinary Sciences and I am really interested in being a medical officer. I will deeply appreciate any advice!

Because you're still in training, it will be several years until you're eligible for those programs. Each program has its own separate requirements. For instance, AECP requires that you are in your MOS at least a year. Green to Gold Active Duty Option requires you to pay for your tuition with your GI Bill, which requires you to have three years in service to draw the whole thing. The IPAP and AECP announcement messages are listed on the USAREC AMEDD recruiting page. You can also look into USUHS for MD. You won't currently meet the requirements for it, but the Army has a program called EPMD2 that will send you to the school on Active Duty for two years to pursue a post baccalaureate in order to apply.

Than you for all this valuable information SFC! How long after AIT do I have to wait to submit the package for OCS?

SPC (Join to see) You'll have to pull up the latest OCS message to find out. But if you go to OCS you won't be a medical officer, you'll be whatever branch you get put into.

Are you currently training at JBSA? If so, see if you can contact an AMEDD Officer recruiter to see what your options are.

Yes SFC! I've been trying to get in contact with them but I haven't been able to because of all the covid-19 situation. I'll try again soon! Thank you!

SPC (Join to see) - What I mean is that if you have an email for them, contact them that way. More than likely, they are at home teleworking.

What about the Physician's Assistant? That program began around the mid-1970s.

SPC (Join to see) - It's a good program. Tough program, but good. If accepted, you get commissioned as a 2LT and spend the next two years at JBSA going thru the PA program. The course is grueling, though.

MSG (Join to see) - Than you SFC! Do you know anything about the DPT program with Baylor University? Any advice on it? From the requirements I am missing the observation hours in a physical therapy clinic and taking the GRE.
