How do I move forward after losing a loved one who was a veteran? Where can I find grief counseling for military caregivers?

I recently lost my father unexpectedly on December 26, 2023 due to health issues. My father was a PROUD Army veteran who served in Vietnam. I am trying to find grief counseling for military caregivers. This has been hard to process and I am having a hard time moving forward. Also, I want to make sure I'm aware of all possible benefits to surviving children.

Please contact the Military and Veteran Caregiver Network. https://www.redcross.org/get-help/military-families/services-for-veterans/military-veteran-caregiver-network.html
They have lots of information, they can connect you to groups for grief counseling and give you a mentor if you want one. All services are free.

Rhonda Brown Rhonda, I am sorry for your loss. I am also a Vietnam veteran, and your father may have been exposed to Agent Orange. Was your father receiving VA disability for service connected disabilities? The links below might be helpful. With respect! Ted Hallock
