How should I shorten a "too long and awkward sounding" list of assignments for a guest speaker?

How about instead of every assignment, it lists assignments that SM had command at?

A popular way to enhance that is to say "Colonel Smith has held nearly every level of command and staff from the Platoon through the Division level including the Command of Headquarters and Headquarters Company , 123rd Mess Kit Repair Battalion; 1st Battalion 10th Infantry Battalion etc. works for NCOs too.
Include a unit assignment if that assignment and unit have an interesting and positive historical context like if his assignment in Panama was during Just Cause and they had something noteworthy happen. Conversely if a unit they were in was involved in something nefarious, don't draw attention to it, like if his time in 4/25 was part of the Bergdahl incident. Let them bring it up if it relates to their speech.

SPC (Join to see) Something to consider:
As a young Army Second Lieutenant, our guest speaker began his career with the 1st Battalion, 10th Infantry, at Fort Carson. During his career, he/she has deployed XXX times, received the following awards and medals, and been recognized for XXXX. Colonel XXX is currently stationed at HQ, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, GA., where he is Chief of XXXX.
The goal is to highlight the speakers career and accomplishments without spending 15minutes on a boring introduction.
