How long do new 2nd LT’s typically stay at their first duty station as a PL?

- 3-4 years CONUS, 12-18 months as a PL.
- OCONUS, whatever the foreign service tour is. Same time as PL.
- OCONUS, whatever the foreign service tour is. Same time as PL.

Normally they are on base for 2-3 yrs- rotating to staff slots after 9mo-18 month as a PL

I think it would really depend on the unit. I once had a 2LT that stayed the PL for my platoon well after they made 1LT and almost ready to be looked at for Captain. And we had received this 2LT right after he was done with West Point.
